How to reimagine a favorite book through imagery alone? Using my favorite childrens book The Missing Piece as inspiration, I reimagined this story as an infographic using only icons and illustrations. By referencing Joseph Campbell's A Hero's Journey and collecting data from the story, new emotional layers emerge and allow the viewer to discover their own connection and meaning, transforming form a children's book into a multilayered story of love and independence.
